The Challenge
Large-format glass requires a storage structure that provides stable support while protecting glass edges and surfaces during daily handling.
For this project, the customer needed a solution that could be built around its existing requirements rather than selected from a standard product range.
The key requirements included:
Storage dimensions matched to the customer's glass and warehouse layout
Stable support for large-format glass sheets
Heavy-duty structural construction for industrial use
Single-sided storage configuration
Durable surface protection for the working environment
Precise fabrication according to the customer's technical drawing
Complete accessories for straightforward assembly
The main challenge was therefore not simply supplying a glass rack, but turning the customer's technical requirements into a production-ready storage system.
Our Solution
TOYOCC manufactured 8 customized AL Frame Glass Storage Rack sets according to the customer's drawing.
Each set consists of 3 AL racks and 2 connecting rods, forming a complete storage structure for large-format glass.
1. Made-to-Drawing Customization
The entire rack structure was manufactured according to the customer's technical drawing and required dimensions.
TOYOCC handled the engineering review, material preparation, fabrication and quality control to ensure the finished racks matched the specified design.
2. Heavy-Duty Structural Design
The main structure uses No. 20a I-beam sections, 100 × 200 × 10 mm, made from Q235B steel.
The heavy-duty steel structure provides the rigidity required for demanding glass storage applications.
3. Stable 96° A-Frame Configuration
The racks feature a 96° A-frame angle with a 1,929 mm usable depth.
This configuration provides stable support for large glass sheets while maintaining a practical storage arrangement for loading and retrieval.
4. Industrial Welding & Surface Protection
The rack structures are fabricated using industrial CO₂ MIG welding to provide strong and consistent joints.
An electrostatic powder coating in RAL 5015 blue provides a durable protective finish suitable for an industrial glass-processing environment.
5. Precision Manufacturing
Key manufacturing tolerances were controlled to ensure accurate assembly and consistent rack geometry:
Holes: ±0.1 mm
Angles: ±0.5°
Thickness: ±0.05 mm
Rubber protection strips, connecting rods and required fittings were supplied as part of the complete solution.

Result & Customer Feedback
The complete rack system was manufactured according to the customer's technical drawing, packed into one container, and shipped from Qingdao to the United States.
The customer also shared on-site photos of the delivered racks.
The project demonstrated TOYOCC's ability to take a customer-specific drawing and turn it into a complete, production-ready glass storage solution, covering engineering review, precision fabrication, quality control, packing and international delivery.
