Location: UAE
Application: Curtain Wall Glass Installation
Equipment: TA600 Glass Robot / Glass Manipulator for Curtain Wall Installing
Capacity: Up to 600 kg
Project Overview
A UAE-based glass and facade contractor selected the TA600 Glass Robot / Glass Manipulator for Curtain Wall Installing for large-format glass installation on building projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The customer needed a flexible and efficient solution for moving and positioning heavy glass panels on construction sites, especially in areas where external power was not readily available.
To meet these requirements, TOYOCC supplied the TA600 with a wireless remote controller, electric 360° rotation and electric 90° left/right swing.
The battery-powered glass manipulator allows the installation team to move, lift and accurately position glass panels without relying on external power cables.
The Customer's Challenge
Curtain wall glass can be large, heavy and difficult to position manually. On busy construction sites, the installation team also needs to work in different areas where fixed power may not be available.
The customer was looking for a solution that could:
Handle large and heavy glass panels
Reduce manual handling
Move easily around the job site
Provide precise positioning during installation
Operate without an external power cable
TOYOCC Solution
TOYOCC recommended the TA600 Glass Robot, a mobile glass manipulator with a lifting capacity of up to 600 kg.
The TA600 is designed for demanding glass handling applications and combines lifting, travelling and positioning functions in one compact machine.
For this project, TOYOCC added three key functions based on the customer's requirements:
Wireless Remote Control
The operator can control travelling, lifting and boom extension remotely, providing greater flexibility during glass installation.
Electric 360° Rotation
The glass pad frame can rotate 360° electrically, allowing the glass panel to be adjusted quickly to the required orientation.
Electric 90° Swing
The electric left and right swing function makes it easier to align the glass panel with the building facade during installation.
Together with the TA600's standard electric movement functions, these features give operators more precise control throughout the installation process.
Battery-Powered Operation
The TA600 is powered by a 24V rechargeable battery system, so no external power cable is required during normal operation.
This allows the glass manipulator to move freely between different working areas on a construction site, including locations where access to fixed power is limited.
The 100V–240V universal charger also makes the TA600 suitable for international applications.
With its 2 × 12V 100Ah battery configuration, the machine can support approximately 8 hours of operation under typical working conditions, depending on the actual workload and operating cycle.
Key Benefits
For this UAE curtain wall project, the TA600 provides:
Up to 600 kg lifting capacity for large-format glass
Battery-powered operation without external power cables
Wireless remote control for flexible operation
360° electric rotation for easier glass orientation
90° electric swing for precise positioning
Multiple electric movement functions for efficient glass handling
A mobile solution for demanding construction sites
A Solution Built Around the Application
This project reflects TOYOCC's approach to glass handling equipment: understanding the application first and then configuring the right solution.
Instead of using a standard configuration, the TA600 was equipped with additional electric functions to better match the customer's curtain wall installation requirements.
